Fun, fun weekend

This weekend has been great!  Yesterday for date night all three of us went to Thanksgiving Point to check out the "Light of Christ" garden.  It has sculptures of the Savior at different parts of his life.  The sad thing was that we never did find the "Light of Christ" garden...or the sculptures...and their vending machines were out of water...but we did have fun walking around the gardens.  Later, we found out that the "Light of Christ" garden is a grassy area and there's no trail to it - we weren't ambitious enough to walk back around the gardens to find it.  They had vendors by the gift shop that sold LDS art.  We were lucky enough to find a painting of the Mt Timpanogos Temple for Ethan's room for only $20.  We stopped and got Cold Stone on the way home.  Great date!!

This morning we went to Hogle Zoo with the Clarks for Dave's Birthday.  Ethan was more interested in the people than the animals, but it was fun to be at the zoo with him for the first time. 

Ethan didn't want to take a nap while we were there...too much to see I guess.  He was kicking off his sandles, grabbing the blank we put over the stroller, singing, and trying very hard to distract himself from falling asleep.  Lucky for us he slept the whole way home.

In the Pool

Wow, today has been crazy!  Ethan's top tooth is coming in and so he's been cranky.  After quite the melt-down, I put him in his swim suit, filled up his new little pool, and put him in.  It was the happiest he had been all day.  He splashed, and giggled, and splashed some more.  He was fearless and put his face in the water a couple of times.  He was in there for over an hour - happy as can be!!  I got some fun pictures of him and then put the camera down to play.  It was much needed mommy-Ethan time!

At the end he just laid on the edge and kicked his feet..... got some good practice for all the fun trips we will be taking to Seven Peaks this summer!!

Tiger Tuesday

Today Ethan was a tiger for Jungle week.  Gosh he's cute!

Ethan was going crazy during nap time.  He was rolling around, rocking on his kness, ramming his head into the side of his crib.  Ben went in to rock him for a minute and this was how we found him, practically sitting up in his crib.  I put him in there laying down, so he got into into a sitting position all by himself. 

Ethan and I went grocery shopping today and got him a pair of sandals.  We had to get a 3T before his feet would fit into the shoe. 

This was the first pair of shoes he's really ever worn, because the newborn shoes we got him didn't ever fit his chubby feet.

He likes to touch them, and it's really funny to watch him try and stand in them.
